Are you looking for a weekend gig for some extra mula? Morning hours only so you’ll still have time to enjoy the afternoon and evening! Nolabelle is looking for hard-working Brunch and Prep Cooks to join our Culinary Team! We are seeking detail-oriented and committed individuals to work alongside and learn from our chefs in a fun, positive and safe work environment. Nolabelle Kitchen + Bar is a made-from-scratch kitchen, offering culinary professionals the opportunity to work with fresh ingredients, sourced locally, in every aspect from collectively creating menu items and specials to prepping and executing fresh dishes.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution and Delivery – prepare components of each dish using proven recipes and execution techniques, memorize and utilize proper serving portion sizes, and complete presentation and correct timing of dishes to be sent to guests;
  • Food Prep – assisting with the preparation of food for cooking and serving (e.g., washing and chopping produce, marinating meat, preparing sauces, soups, breads, etc.);
  • Work Station Stock and Readiness – prepare, organize, clean and stock work stations before/after shift with necessary products, serving tools and plateware, maintain adequate product inventory levels, monitor quality of ingredients, product freshness, and rotate out old product based on established shelf-life schedule and FIFO;
  • Cleanliness, Safety and Sanitation – ensure that the kitchen, all food prep, cleaning areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards and follow sanitization guidelines; Regularly monitor food storage and product temperatures for safety.

Skills:

  • Previous experience cooking in a professional kitchen environment preferred, but not required;
  • Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and proper food handler safety guidelines;
  • High level of professionalism and cooperation when working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment;
  • Excellent verbal communication, organization and time-management skills;
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds at a time on a regular basis.

Additional Details:

  • Must have Saturday and Sunday morning availability;
  • Average shift duration is 8 hours;
  • Additional available Prep Cook shifts include weekdays (9am-3pm) and nights (3pm-9pm);
  • Additional available Line Cook shifts include weekdays (9am-4pm) and nights (4pm-10pm).
